Job Description:
A well-established and highly regarded professional services firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its dynamic legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to support attorneys across all stages of litigation, from case preparation through to trial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, analyse, and summarise legal documentation relevant to ongoing cases
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, meetings, and interviews with clients, witnesses, experts, and legal professionals
- Assist with identifying and liaising with expert witnesses, including preparing and distributing expert materials
- Manage and track document requests, ensuring timely follow-up and organisation
- Support case progression through proactive file management and regular status updates
- Assist with discovery processes and trial preparation
- Draft basic legal documents, including discovery materials, where required
- Conduct legal research into case law, precedents, and relevant legal issues
- File legal documents with courts in accordance with procedural rules
- Maintain accurate records, including billing time and case documentation
- Provide administrative and organisational support to attorneys as needed
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain expert databases and conduct background research on opposing experts
- Assist with internal initiatives such as training, presentations, and mentoring
- Ensure all work complies with client guidelines and firm procedures
- Provide flexible support across the wider team as required
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ litigation experience in a legal support role
- Degree or equivalent qualification (Paralegal certification preferred)
- Strong knowledge of court procedures, rules, and filing requirements
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High level of discretion and integrity when handling confidential information
- Proficient typing skills (minimum 45 wpm) and strong IT skills
Working Hours & Expectations
- Minimum billing target of 140 hours per month
- Flexibility to work additional hours as required to meet deadlines
