Job Description:

A highly regarded and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support its offices in West Palm Beach. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join a collaborative legal team that is committed to delivering exceptional client service. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting attorneys and paralegals within the litigation team, ensuring the smooth running of matters and contributing to a client-first approach across all work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality administrative and legal support to litigation attorneys and paralegals
  • Deliver excellent client service, including greeting visitors, handling calls, and coordinating meetings and conference calls
  • Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and memoranda in line with firm standards
  • Manage calendars and proactively monitor deadlines
  • Maintain and organise case files in line with information governance policies
  • Process expenses, invoices, and reimbursement requests
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail and emails
  • Liaise professionally with court personnel, clients, and internal stakeholders
  • Transcribe dictation and assist with document production
  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant within a law firm or similar environment
  • Strong understanding of litigation processes and court procedures
  • Ability to identify and interpret legal documents, including pleadings
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with legal software such as iManage, InTapp, BigHand, Kofax/Nuance, LMS+ (or similar systems) is highly desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and respond with urgency in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional, adaptable, and able to work with a range of stakeholders

Education:

  • Education beyond high school or relevant legal coursework is preferred
