Job Description:
A highly regarded and growing law firm is seeking an experienced
Litigation Legal Assistant to support its offices in West Palm Beach. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join a collaborative legal team that is committed to delivering exceptional client service.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting attorneys and paralegals within the litigation team, ensuring the smooth running of matters and contributing to a client-first approach across all work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality administrative and legal support to litigation attorneys and paralegals
- Deliver excellent client service, including greeting visitors, handling calls, and coordinating meetings and conference calls
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and memoranda in line with firm standards
- Manage calendars and proactively monitor deadlines
- Maintain and organise case files in line with information governance policies
- Process expenses, invoices, and reimbursement requests
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail and emails
- Liaise professionally with court personnel, clients, and internal stakeholders
- Transcribe dictation and assist with document production
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant within a law firm or similar environment
- Strong understanding of litigation processes and court procedures
- Ability to identify and interpret legal documents, including pleadings
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with legal software such as iManage, InTapp, BigHand, Kofax/Nuance, LMS+ (or similar systems) is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise effectively and respond with urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, adaptable, and able to work with a range of stakeholders
Education:
- Education beyond high school or relevant legal coursework is preferred
