Clayton Legal is working with a leading AmLaw 100 law firm to recruit an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its growing Affordable Housing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced paralegal with a strong commercial real estate background to join a sophisticated, high-volume practice working on complex transactions across Florida.
The role can be based from one of several Florida offices, including Orlando, Boca Raton, Miami or West Palm Beach, depending on location and team requirements.
The Role
Working closely with attorneys and fellow paralegals, you will play an important role in supporting a broad range of sophisticated affordable housing and commercial real estate transactions. You will be involved throughout the transaction lifecycle, from initial document preparation and due diligence through to closing and post-closing matters. Your responsibilities will include:- Supporting commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions
- Assisting with real estate development and affordable housing transactions
- Supporting leasing and real estate financing matters
- Drafting, reviewing and organizing transactional documentation
- Undertaking legal and transactional research
- Assisting with due diligence and document management
- Coordinating and preparing closing documentation
- Supporting post-closing requirements
- Maintaining accurate digital files and transaction records
- Liaising with attorneys, clients, lenders, vendors and other third parties
- Managing multiple transactions and competing deadlines simultaneously
About You
You will be an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal who is comfortable working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment. You will ideally have experience in affordable housing transactions, although strong commercial real estate experience will also be considered.You will ideally have:
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Experienced in managing multiple transactions simultaneously
- Confident reviewing and interpreting transactional and corporate documents
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a wider team
- Commercially aware and proactive in their approach
- A clear and professional communicator
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines
- Confident learning new systems and processes
- Committed to producing accurate, high-quality work
- 5+ years' experience as a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
- Affordable housing experience strongly preferred
- Strong commercial real estate transactional experience
- 5+ years' experience as a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
